Anyone come across the black highs online in a 9.5? I've struckout everywhere :{

Hello everyone

Just giving everyone a heads up but the maroon converse lows are in stock in Nordstrom for the first time today in my area.  I normally do not post pictures of shoes that I buy but these are too clean and look better in person.  I picked these up at Nordstrom at Stanford  before they were closing and did not want to buy shoes or expect they were in stock.  Gentlemen who worked there said they already sold 7 pairs and he said they sell quick.  Did not have the maroon Hi's.  Did not see the grey pair but I was not looking for them.  Maroons look better than the black pair IMO but that could just be me.  I like navy, white, light blues, maroon/burgundy, greens and earthy warm colors.  Black is great too and a classic too.     Should ask for your size in the black Hi's.

I haven't worn All stars since high school and I get nostalgia when I wear them.  About the sizing and other comments: I have wide feet and normally selective because of my unusually wide feet.  I wear 9.5 in Nike/jordans or 9 wide in other Nike shoes.  Wanted to size down to 8.5 but chose 9 because 8.5 is  narrow in the midsole.    Think I outgrew that size a long time ago.  TTS or 0.5 down?  always thought *** run big.  0.5 down worked for me.  Could probably size a full size down if you have narrow feet?  Don't know, depends on your shape of foot but try them out yourselves beforehand.  They're stiff because of the thicker material, don't conform and the lunarlon insole is thick.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, there is a strap that gets in the way too when putting it on feet.  I may just get rid of it.  Lunarlon sole is great on these and made these classics comfortable.  Could never wear the original AS because of how uncomfortable they are but I like the soft material and wash, beat up looks of the originals. The thicker material that this is made of is going to take some time getting used to or maybe wear for warmer months..

The lows are only $5 cheaper than the Hi's which is weird. sorry the long post

Thanks for the pics. I have not seen them online or in store since the post I made. I will check it out in the next week or so. I have worn mine about 4 to 5 times, and they feel better as a I break them in. Can't see myself going back to the OG's

Thinking about picking up a pair of CDG highs in black today.

My only thing is is that I have flat feet, and it seems like Chucks have NO support at all (that being said I've never ever tried a pair on).

Does the insole come out of a pair of chucks, and would I be able to fit a custom insole/orthotic inside of them? I've seen a few reports online about chucks being good for custom insoles but I figured I'd ask here as well to see if any NT guys have an opinion.

Converse site finally have the thunder and deep bordeaux colors. Way better HD pics then journeys.

I am seriously considering the thunder. Not sure if I want low or high though. Can't wait too long like I did with the salsa red ones. They were gone and I still can't find them.

Hey guys, new to the thread, been holding out for a pair if the Chuck 2 black lows but they've been sold out everywhere in a 9.5. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Managed to pick up a pair yesterday. Check your local Journey's, Chuck IIs may be popping back up.

Just got a pair! Black highs, they are probably my favorite shoe ever. They might be perfection.

got the maroon low's..

first pair of chucks i've owned. went a full size down.

Anyone know how the original Chuck Taylor's fit with the lunarlon insoles in them fit? Thinking about picking up the Sage Elesser collab. Jus need to know if I should go with an 8 or 9?
