Every year, the discrepancy between California's collective wealth and our share of political representation shrinks.

I, for one, am tired of having to subsidize these Scotch-Irish ghouls and misguided Edgars' political political object to see immigrants and trans people, in CECOT and/or hidden from public view.

California should join with other Blue States and do a soft succession and we mint our own currency--I mean meme coins -- join the BRICs and live under China's nuclear arsenal deterrent. Moreover, we'll nullify laws and Supreme Court instruction that do not comport with our values. If the Feds bomb us, they'd be bombing their own country and the college educated officers and the largely Black and Latino population would mutiny.

Although, before we do that, we must peacefully petition and either way the GOP grants us our Independence and we get a stronger social safety, a better educational, and ban child from being forced to incur "lunch debt" and/or work, etc. OR they'd have to go on record to say that California is vital to the rest of the US economy. They must affirm that California is the crown jewel of the US economy and that all of their cherry picking of unhouses people and the occasional drug store theft is immaterial, the Golden State is needed. Even if we lost a civil war, It would do disruptive to the US economy that the US' bond rating would plunge. It would sink Trump's approval rating to single digit if he'd dropping bombs on Americans citizens. It'd leave Trump an international pariah, with worthless money, and a popular hope for him to die in office.

The survival of the United States' territorial integrity is in the hands of GOP State level secs of state.

In any case , we get clean elections or we bounce.

Much as I hate Trump, the president has virtually no control over the economy. This is why people who vote, especially based on a president’s “handeling of the economy” is vapid nonsense. The ‘law of value’ and the needs of capital dictate the economy, not the president or ANY other individual. Even capitalists themselves are subject to the internal logic and laws of capitalism.

The sooner people realize this, the better off they’ll be.

my brother in christ, trump has tanked the economy with tariffs and general uncertainty

This is a gross oversimplification.

Trump has done this PRECISELY because he wants to reassert the dominance of American capital in a time when it’s in decline.

And it’s working - for the capitalist class that is. For the rest of us, not so much - but THATS the point: The state is an instrument of class rulership - whether it’s ran by Trump, Obama, or anyone else is absolutely irrelevant. It exists to protect, perpetuate, and increase private capital, not so workers get relief at the grocery store. Trump and any other statesman is just a puppet for the capitalist class and the economic law of capital accumulation. This is all by design, not random.

there's no question that Trump 2.0 is an attempt at "shock therapy," upon most US people and households. But should not we survey the land before us?

Trump is certainly attacking labor. That much is axiomatic. But labor is in a better position than low wage service workers. We must all support each other and have each others' backs in these trying times.

So you know I was JUST thinking about something similar the other day. If you take the true blue states' GDP compared to that of red states, blue states overwhelmingly carry the load ($17T blue vs $12T red). That is including the swing states that went red in 2024 (PA, OH, GA).

Republicans love to romanticize that "small town" life - working on my truck, drinking beer, watching football, hanging by the lake, church on Sunday - you average country music song. If you take all the small towns and sum their GDP you've basically got Bolivia (total GDP of $49B).

These small town yokels who love their military do not understand why our military is so strong. It's not because bubba and jethro from Alabama and Mississippi graduated high school with a 1.8GPA and enlisted on their 18th birthday. It's because we have the most advanced weapons in the world created by the top scientists, engineers, physicists, etc. in the world. The yokels aren't even smart enough to understand the irony in their anti-intellectualism.

So anyway, if the blue states were to secede and take their GDP with them, it'd be a +$5 trillion advantage. That would build one hell of a military and probably fund one hell of a healthcare system. Let's do it.

Hate is a crazy thing. Imagine hating a state that is the world’s 4th largest economy and our tech backbone. It’s absolutely idiotic.
