Cam was a legend with our without Dipset. People seem to "overlook" the bidding war that took place to sign him in 2000/2001. Jim Jones was just a lucky accomplice.

The man Jim Jones had one hit, yet was in the game since like 1999. Effouttahere. ONE hit in 15+ years??? :lol

Heatmakers made DIPSET

Cam was not considered a legend before the DIPSET days. Jim jones along with Juelz were trash rappers. Cam was dope but I think he got a little to silly with the bars.

I don't remember anybody giving a damn about Cam till he signed with Rocafella and had a team. He was all the way in back as far as NY rappers pre Rocafella. If he's a legend then so is Jim.

Cam had hits before Rocafella. So someone had to have gave a damn.

It's funny how Jim went from being in the background in that what means the world to you video to the new leader of DIPSET

What Horse And Carraige? With Mase when Mase was on fire.

Cam was not poppin like that before ROC. He wasn't even Pun, Nore, Mobb Deep level.

I'm not to sit up and argue about who's more famous than who. I'm simply said Cam'ron had success before Roc A Fella. That's a fact...there's nothing to argue. You can shift the narrative by saying "well he wasn't hotter than so and so" but that's not what I said.

Purple Haze is Cam's worst album. People get distracted by the few classic records on there. Album is full of filler. So much trash on there. Rhymes and production.

Crime Pays is his most underrated album. That **** is so hard.

Now I see why y'all get mad at me when I post horrible opinions.

This post right here got me ticked! :x

I ain't shift nothing. You came in with "well he had hits". He had some success, never said he didn't. All I said was people was not rocking with Cam like that till Rocafella. That's a fact.

He was on "Banned from TV" in 1998 with Pun...

BEFORE Rocafella signing :lol

Reaching a NEW level a fame doesn't mean people weren't "rocking" with you before. What does that even mean?  DUH. He got MORE famous. That doesn't mean he was a nobody. How can you admit someone's success and then try to knock em and say "well people weren't rocking with him like so and and so".

That's like saying if 21 Savage signed to Drake and became a bigger star then that means that "nobody was rocking with him like that until Drake".

Your example is terrible cuz 21 right now is more poppin than Cam was before Roc. I'm not even knocking dude. Your man just wasn't really doing much till Rocafella. Fact. Yes he had lil songs in the radio but he was not making much noise.

Jim had bangers outside of that ONE hit and you know this.

And even with ONE hit in 15 years, he overachieved :lol

It's probably TWO because as terrible as "Pop Champagne" was IMO, it was big.
