All I know is that I'm in college right now (the demographic that mostly is filling shows and is the most profitable for an artist) and can tell you that Gucci is definitely relevant. At least in this demographic.

This is the point that I'm making Yes he may be hot in that demographic and there's no problem with that. Until dudes start saying **** like he's the hottest in the streets and nobody bumps T.I & Jeezy in the streets. when in fact there are people from other areas saying that they hear both T.I & Jeezy constantly in the streets and hear them more than they do Gucci.

not to mention these guys are saying you can't bring up sales and then point to an Itunes chart. You yourself pointed out twitter & how there were teen white girls quoting gucci lyrics.... but wilt complaining about T.I getting support from that exact demographic. #'s are only used when it's helping your point.

I remember specifically arguing with the same dudes about Ross VS Jeezy and all the talk was about look at the singles, look at MMG's record sales, look at the features ross has had this year etc etc (At the Peak Of ross career so far... time after Teflon Don)... then jeezy dropped TM103 sold what ross entire album sold in a month, was on every big remix, and headlining a world tour... And then suddenly the talk about sales and tangible things stopped and it was back to "Yea he's hot in the mainstream but the "streets" ain't ****** with him like that".

dudes only wanna bring the "streets" into an argument because it's a blanket statement and easy to say without having to prove a thing to anybody. because quite frankly there is no way to judge what's hot in the streets in the entire country. the only thing that's tangible would be plays in the clubs/ Mix radio/ BBQ's/ cars and even that has been downplayed simply bcuz Gucci ain't exactly shining in that arena either.

Like i said before, ppl are followers of whatever is considered hot on social media, gucci isnt gonna have a "popular song" because hes obviously blackballed & all the ppl that were gucci "fans" in his prime obviously dont rock with him anymore, those are the same ppl that jump from rapper to rapper

But "nothing on ya" was definitely a hit

So the majority of the people didn't gravitate towards it but you liked it so it was an hit.... what's bolded is exactly what is considered a hit but despite you knowing it had no impact in that way... it was Definitely a hit

Well considering I've never copped one of his albums off of itunes and I'd imagine it takes more than 3 "gucci capers" to purchase an album for it to be top 10 on itunes... 

Maybe, just maybe, it's a possibility that just because you and your immediate circle doesn't rock with homie doesn't mean he isn't a living legend? Like I told you Gucci Guwop was off top?
