OKAY, so i updated from 5.0.0.459 to .654 and now eveyrthing is different and it sucks.


how do i get it back?


my sms texts and emails are all displayed when i hover over it, and it didnt use to do that before

my main concern is that the lock key is gone. i had beiks auto lock set so that after 30 seconds the phone locks, and now its gone. i have to hold down a or * now, and push the mute key to unlock!

That's the new way the lock works. You can still set an autolock for the phone through the options. Options > Passsword and just set it to 1 minute security timeout.

What do you mean it's gone, the lock key is still there, but it's standby that is now gone. The lock button now locks it and puts it to standby at the same time. If you want it lock without password press the lock key/A, if you want it with password press K or wait for the security timeout to come. If you can't live without the way you had it before, then just downgrade. Personally I love the new feature, didn't like it at first, but makes more sense.

I'm also on 5.0.0.862 and it's the best OS I've used so far. No lag/bugs/great battery life in my experience.

so while updating my operating system i accidentally deleted all the games that come preloaded on my 8900. any way to get them back? apparently they didnt back up

The new Curve 3G (the whole new Curve line, really) sucks terribly. Returned it and kept my 8900 until something better comes to Tmo.

I downloaded/installed OS6 for the 9650 and so far...I don't like it. Not to crazy about the bar that lets you scroll over, probably works a lot better with the Torch's touchscreen. Biggest problem for me right now is that the BB browser won't work over 3G, only wi-fi. Bolt works fine. Haven't tried BB Maps. So far everything else works- BBM, facebook, twitter, poynt, viigo, etc. Missing most of the original ringtones/alerts, some new "remix" tones in their place. Audio is DUMB loud on this build. Boot time is cut in half(OS5 took way too long on a reboot), social feeds is pretty cool, as is the "tabbed" browser. I'm probably going to wipe/reinstall 6 and if I can't get browser working, going back to OS5.

hey since you guys have 9650's as well i changed my service to global and now my txt messages are coming and going.any other advice? i added some one on bbm last night and there icon has yet to still show up.

BBM rerequested my ex gf when i updated AND harped back our last conversation to her... why the hell was that text from 5 months ago saved??

Also apparently when I send a text message, every now and then it doesnt go through until hours later so if I hit a girl up asking if she wants to chill at 3pm she didnt get said text til 4am and I end up looking like a thirsty go hard.

Blackberry and TMobile have been force feeding me way too many Ls as of late. Bout to just do the sensible thing and get an iphone

BlackBerry Bold 9000 keeps shutting down automatically if there is no network signal for an extended period of time. Any way to change this?

Question… on my blackberry 9700 I’m getting ebay messages sent to my Blackberry messages even when I don’t have the eBay app. And the eBay alerts are not even for my account, it is for some other random crap I never heard of. How do I get rid of these alerts?

it has to be the email your using for your blackberry is affiliated with an ebay account. or see if there is a reply or stop message at the end read of the message

No it has nothing to do with that. And as for the message, I cannot view it... it won't let me in. The email I have synced to this account I don't have any ebay account registered for. And the eBay messages going to my phone don't go to my email inbox on hotmail.
I think I might have solved the problem nonetheless. I just removed eBay from Applications Add On Folder. There was files with eBay and I just removed both entirely... so hopefully that should do it.

Any official word on when Tmobile will have that new Bold (I think it's the 9780)? My Curve 8900 is nearly ready to crap out on me and the new Curve 3G is absolute garbage... I bought one of those to replace my 8900, but returned it because it was totally disappointing.
