I just learned I can upgrade to an 8830 for 100.
Can someone quickly educate me on the pros and cons and the features of this phone? And it seems petty but does that -70 really make a difference compared to the 8900?
haha you have no idea.. the 8800 series is what the bold came from, and is quite outdated... on top of that i used to have one and had numerousproblems with it, and i know other people that had the same problems too.. dont by old technology, if you have a choice go with the 8330 instead, i loved thatphone it was so stable and by far the easiest keyboard ive ever used... im on a storm now and love it but its one of those things that youre either going tolove or hate, and i know too many people that are on the hate side lol... in essence, dont get the 8830, the numbers (+70 to 8900) dont mean anything, the 8900is much better than 8830 (but is only for tmobile at the moment)

So again Bold > Javelin. The size difference isn't all that much different.
The Bold is HUGE, fam-lay..
u think? not much of a difference between it and the storm.. size wise

honestly im pretty sure he bold isnt coming to verizon... theyre dropping their own phone called the niagara, which is like a hybrid curve/bold (think best of both worlds) in may (but knowing verizon, dont expect it til q3 or q4 of this year
but it is.. a friend of mine works for BB.. and said its already official
i think its going to be 199-249 w/ a 2 year contract...
Bold is not big at all. anyone who says its big must have small, really small hands. Its the pefect size for a phone, any bigger or smaller thatit would be weird.Originally Posted by Da R Entertainment

, that was funny. The Bold is FAR from huge.
I have the 8900 and I was messing around with my friend's Bold for a few minutes and there is a GREAT difference in size. It's probablyI've had a Pearl, Curve 8320 and now 8900 for the past 2 (maybe 3?) years so the Bold is a big difference. The difference in size between the two is huge, the Bold itself is probably the average size of a smartphone though.Originally Posted by Mateen Cleaves
