Official Bitcoin Thread

We at over 30 now. I bought in my initial coins at around 10 bucks. I'm considering cashing out a couple in case it drops but I mistakenly did that at 21 the other day and ended up buying back in again at like 24 last night.

Really not trying to make that mistake again

How much did you cop @10? I copped some @11, but should have bought more (hindsight bias).

I've got over 20 ETH coins now which isn't much. I bought them all at 10-15 a coin.

*i sold off a piece of a bitcoin and just copped another 3 Ethereum coins. Even though it's high I'm wondering where this will go and I really don't wanna miss out.

I saw a few projections saying ETH could hit $100 this year. I still have my doubts but BTC is too rich for my blood right now so i gotta go with something.

Like I mentioned to you in previous comments.....I'd say HOLD ETH!  This is only the beginning boys!  Just for transparency, I've been on ETH a few months after their ICO launch, and I was lucky to accumulate my stack @ around .89cents each.....here is one of my wallets that i recommend using to stash ETH, BTC, DASH, AUGUR:

JAXX Wallet:

i hear ya @sneakaprince  -- i mentioned a few comments above on other certain tokens that I think will bubble up.  go check them out!  there are alot of potentially great FINTECHs that are on the brink of disrupting current monetary systems.  Their tokens are less than $1.00, and although a risk....its probably better than keeping your funds in a BANK.

Just look at coinmarketcap.com and see all the new money coming into CryptoCurrency.  This is just the beginning.  Good luck, and remember:

"Scared money don't make money"

I want to buy some more ETH, but the market is too young and volatile with no real support or resistance established yet, but then again I always have FOMO!

About to do some research on "RIPPLE" as well.

fapmasterjr fapmasterjr 200 coins I see u big dawg. U were a really smart early adopter. I've known about crypto for years but I was always too scared to really get into it. I also owe u one from telling me to hold that ETH earlier. I was really close to selling since I had already made a lil profit, and now I'm super glad I didn't.

I'm glad I got over that hump and just said eff it. Gonna have to look into that jaxx wallet. Coinbase is obviously pretty limited (still great) but I wouldn't mind jumping into some other younger cryptos while I have the excess funds.

good stuff man, i'm glad you held! ETH will be one of the next "big things" as we move to web 3.0 and IoT.  Their smart contracts and fast transactions/confirmation times are mind blowing (seconds vs minutes, maybe 1hour for Bitcoin)!!

I was meaning to ask whats up with that "can't buy ETH" in NY rule. I live in Wisconsin so obviously it doesn't affect me but I really just don't get it.

glad to hear folks making money here.  had to buy back in last night in the 21's after hearing about antpool mining BU blocks now.  i still think the ride is not over but i want to warn ppl to take profits off the table cause this is all gonna end badly. sadly to say this could be a setback for the crypto world but for investors its another chance to get in early again.  good luck trading!  make that digital money!

the reason i bought back into ETH was because i figured alot of ppl taking money out of BTC cause of the whole BU mess and hedging into other alt coins like ETH  etc...

i am staying away from BTC at the moment and watching this ETH rally closely

also i dont see a GOLD thread, does anyone invest or bet against GOLD?

Talk to me like I'm a newborn.
I'm ready to jump in.

I'm high as **** and I'm ready to get in the game.
I'm bout to get this Jaxwallet now.

Props to fapmaster and JK for all the knowledge.

There was one but it's not active at all.
ah ic. well i would bet against gold this year. with all the rate hikes and trump promising more jobs in america only means interest rates will go up and gold will go down.  good luck everybody!

Jaxx is a wallet.  So you would need to first fund it with any Cryptocurrency it supports:  ETH, BTC, Dash, REP, Litecoin, etc

Once you do that....it uses shapeshift built into the wallet and you can "shift" to any crypto currency.    To answer your question about "buying".  I suggest you use coinbase to buy BTC or ETH, then transfer it to your Jaxx wallet.  From there, you can essentially play the market without using an exchange.  Good Luck!
