Damn man you need to open up a BBQ restaurant or something

I wish, Im still a rookie to all this :lol

Once I get to whole hog status I'll be ready

:lol

Yeah I got a Masterbuilt, love it..been my only smoker till this point

Only thing is I havent been able to produce a smoke ring with it

What kind of wood do you usually use? Certain woods create deeper smoke rings, along wit temps and time imo.

Usually hickory or apple most of the time. I even tried throwing coals inside it, still nothing

Hard to get a smoke ring wit apple. Try a heavier smoke wood wit the same thin/blue type smoke.

Swap the hickory for some pecan, then try oak and gradually move up to mesquite.

You cant go wrong wit a oak/pecan mix tho.

You usin pellets or splits?

I got some pecan recently. Will need to try that Oak x Pecan mix, never tried oak before.

Currently using pellets in a setup like this (not my pic)

Season your ribs
Wrap it in foil
40 minute each side.
Unwrap and let the ribs charred on both sides

Crispy and damn tender.
