As a general rule of thumb, if a jersey has a manufacturer's logo on the chest (Nike, Adidas, Champion) 9 times out of 10 it is a swingman or replica.

Thanks for the heads up. I posted it in the swingman thread and the info i gathered suggested that Nike had only produced replicas for that run of the olympic jerseys. Im not sure if that makes the pictured one a fake? It was suggested that it may have been an authentic since Nike produced everything for USA bball. Im clueless and just trying to find some answers before i drop the bread

Seriously? That's odd though. Most players can easily get over 50 pairs of new shoes a season but a small allocation of jerseys? AND they have to pay for the ones they give away?
i think players do only get x amount of jerseys. I remember seeing a video saying players get charged for jerseys that they give away and what not. It was either a vid on the lakers or blazers.
Michael Jordan has had a contract with Upper Deck Authenticated (UDA)since 1992. This is the only company that Michael Jordan will sign for. Almost all other certification is fake in my opinion. I would not buy a Jersey signed by Michael Jordan unless it is UDA with the certificate, you can check the serial number on the UDA website. Below is a link about Jordan's Deal with UDA and how much of autographs are fake (operation Bull pen). The operation Bull pen is also a very good read, it says how a large majority of autographs are fake. The way the scammers got caught was Michael Jordan was in a memorabilia shop and saw many autograph items that were not signed by him and were forged and the FBI did an investigation. Be very careful with autographed memorabilia and do your own research until you are comfortable. After all it is a lot of money.
found a #45 pro cut MJ jersey, size 46+3 with autograph for $1300, is it a good deal? the COA was lost.
thx man!

"Generally speaking" he is correct...BUT with those 2012 Olympic jersey's Nike made replica (screen printed) and "authentic" with stitched letters and numbers, according to Nike. Specs in terms of materials of jersey body, numbers, and the Dri fit sweat wipe on the inside collar were the same. I don't know if sizing was the same though. Retail was S, M, L etc, not sure if in court as the same or numbered. But as far as those particular Nike's are concerned it's authentic if not screen printed.
As well though -
This is legit. Did it come from EBay? I saw one but that size is too small for me

Call them and they should be able to apply manually.

Retail authentic - same exact material as what the player wears, comes in different sizes, sold in stores
pro cut - same as retail authentic, but the size is cut for that specific player, like Jordan is a 50+4, sold in limited quantities, usually have a different jock tag
game issued - same as pro cut, but was issued for the player for that game, usually a different jock tag from the previous 2
game worn - same as game issued, but the played actually played in that same jersey
I think that should cover it
and no I dont know where the Wizards Bullets jerseys were made
