im 15   making 300+ a week when your 15 is making it plus what i make from shoes/ thrifting profit i can make some weeks around 700.....im only 15 
anyway ive been doing it since i was 13 and i kinda enjoy it. its hard but i learn alot

It's a good job and u do learn alot you'll be in line to get a great construction job at 18 with the knowledge u no. But 8.50 a hr is way underpaid for a young kid or not.
