i know it’s not a 97, but I have some nike ID air max 2003s, with a similar airbag. Two of them are wearable (I don’t wear them often), and the other pair of them disintegrated. I’d say they might be wearable, but probably not for much longer, and a lot of it depends on how the previous owner stored them.
