Just brand loyalty. Adidas/UA are cheaper options so maybe I'll give them my next purchase.

I am the opposite. I haven't wore a nike or jordan product in a while because I found most other brand to be much better quality and more comfortable . IMO they just relied on the name to sell shoes but I like the reviews I see on the XX9 so I thought about giving them a try.
nice. don't hate em, like em even, but not tryna put down $250 after tax when the 30s gotta be around the corner soon. great basketball shoes though
HARE 29'S AVAILABLE NOW!!! http://bit.ly/1PoU280
I have played in the CF Drive, Curry 1, JC2 and XX9 and XX8 SE and I'm currently playing in all of them except the XX8 SE which I returned.
So I am at a crossroad, Here is some of my shoe back ground to help you guys answer my question. My current rotation is Clutchfit drive ( Outdoor) Curry One and Brandblack J crossover 2 ( both for Indoor) . I also have Rose 5 boost but I bought them a half size too big so I am unable to hoop in them as they hurt my toes because of my feet sliding around in them. With all that said I LOVE the cushioning in the JC2 and the Mirco G is a close 2nd. The Charged in the curry's and the Boost in the Rose's are OK ( Ultra boost running shoe is MUCH better feeling than in the basketball shoe) but the problem with all of them is most of the cushioning is at the heel and not the forefoot where I want it most. These XX9 seem to have the cushioning exactly wear I want it
So what I am asking is, How do u rate XX9 vs the others I have or even against the XX8's. I am looking to get another shoe for outdoor use and I was looking at the XX9, Adidas Lillard 1's, Peak TP1 or just getting another part of JC2. Sell me on the XX9's guys, How is the traction outdoors?

This was my exact problem with the shoes....ppl just saying " oh it's jordan /Nike so it has to be the best" when other brand have been putting out far better quality shoes. Jordan has been living off of the name not the quality of the shoe and that is why I stopped buying them but like i said, these XX9 seem to be right up there with the best such as the CFD and Curry One's.The name says it all. Jordan shoes have always been the best in performance basketball from day 1. I have the XX9's and the XX8's. I like the lockdown on the XX9's better but the XX8's court feel and the way it grips the floor are the best I have ever experienced. And I've played in every shoe from 3-14, 20-22. Give the XX9's a try they are the best shoe out now as far as performance goes.
This was the help I was looking for thank you every much. Based on your review I will give them a try, I just hope they do OK outdoor.

Here is my take on the situation. If you want to get the XX9 and try them out, stop thinking about it and go for it. They're a great performance shoe. I can't speak about outdoor traction, but traction indoors should be fine unless your court is a disaster. You may like them so much that you push another shoe to become your outdoor shoe.
My two favorite shoes right now are the Drive/Curry 1 and the XX9. I have multiple pairs of the Drive and I want to get another pair of the XX9's for later. The XX9's are a nice blend of court feel and impact protection, and they fit great and are very comfortable. I love playing in them.
With all that said, if you don't get the XX9's, you won't be missing out too much in my opinion since you have the Drive and Curry 1. They are very comparable shoes in my opinion. Both fit very well, transition is excellent, good traction and responsiveness and both have long term comfort. The XX9's sit slightly higher off the ground to me, but not in a bad way. If you didn't have any of the shoes you mentioned, I'd say definitely get a pair of XX9's. But since you have the Drive/Curry 1, I don't think it's 100% necessary, just if you want them.
Well the thing is, when you're trying to budget your shoe purchases you tend to go with what you're familiar with. I could buy up and test all kinds of brands and models. I would love too, but when I'm trying to balance out bills, savings, clothes, nights out, non-ball shoes, etc I want to make sure my purchase is the best purchase I can make because that one shoe is going to have to last me. I don't play enough ball to warrant having a rotation of kicks even though it would be nice. Nike/JB have had a rep of putting out the best quality of sneakers in the business which is why they're head and shoulders above everyone else.
