For those who ordered from Eastbay, did they double box the shoes? I've read horror stories about Eastbay's current method of shipping shoes in the Kobe thread (they just chuck 'em in a crappy plastic bag and slap a shipping label on it). I really don't want my 2011's special packaging to get crushed because of Eastbay's cheapness.

I think the AJ2011 are awesome Jordans.
The AJ2009 had good parts, but the heel outsole was hilarous.
The AJ2010 had a very dull looking midfoot part with the translucent window
and the lacing of the shoe should start lower.

I almost always order two pairs form EB so that they come in a box. Or order something else in the same order. That's the key. However, if you don't have the cash for two, you will have to settle for the gray bag and potentially owning a pair of pancaked shoes.

Worst comes to worst I'll return the NDC one cause that was $186 OTD and FNL will put me at about 153

Had to get the all stars since eastbay didn't get them for some reason.  Thanks for the info.  I used a coupon code and one of my winner's circle reward cards to save $40.  After the discounts and fatwallet cash back at least the price is more reasonable.

Something about this shoe captures my attention time and time again. I feel the same way with the Concords, while never owning a pair that same mentality of looking at it time and time again keeps my mind focused on the craftsmanship of the shoe.
Perhaps this shoe and the Concords have a similar style? I do not know but rarely does a shoe move me in a way where I said to myself I must have them right away. Usually common sense kicks in and I wait till all the hype is gone and see if I still want it but in this case it was hard to turn away. It almost felt like this shoe called out to me and said Buy Me Now...
