Tough question, but what were these shorts called? They are from 1998, so
I guess they are either part of the 13 or 14 series.

The general style look reminds me of the design of the "shimmer shorts" that Brand Jordan was putting out in the early/mid 2000s.
May be a starting point for you at least?

The emblem on the front finally starting cracking. Very comfortable to wear but also a little too big. Haven't worn this in years.

All of the JB stuff back then was cut bigger. I've still got a pair of shorts that went with the XXs.
They are an XL but fit like a 2xl.
