Never seen them fall off. But I did this with a hair dryer 20 plus years ago to both of my original pairs. It works, but they both split . I can't confirm that is what caused it, but drying those out too many times may cause them to do that.

It fogs right back up though…. The moisture is not escaping from anywhere and will fog back up in a few days
