Official Air Jordan 11 Retro "Bred" - The aftermath.... No Buying/Selling/Trading

Thanks for all the love, glad to see lots of people enjoying this shoe as much as I do!

IMO the og's have the best patent leather cut, in terms of quality, thickness and actual placement on the shoe. Even at 18 years old they hold up (I wouldn't try to wear them but I'd bet they wouldn't fall apart on me). However, the 2001s are a solid second in overall quality, and I have another pair of 2001's I still wear that are still going strong. With that said, the 2012's aren't too bad themselves just the patent leather seems cheaper/thinner, then last the 2008's because of the stiffness of the leather and sole.

I plan to do a few more of these "og vs. retro(s)" comparison shots soon, so keep an eye out!

Those pics :smokin if you're planning to do alot of shots you probably should open a thread.

Need to break my pair out soon, been on ice for almost 4 months :\

While at work yesterday I happened to see a dude wearing Bred XIs and they were clearly his beater pair...broke my heart a bit to see such a great shoe in such dirty and awful condition, but even all trashed up they still look dope. The Bred XI is going to go down as one of the all time best looking Jordans, point blank period.

Always trips me out when people dont seem to take any care for their shoes. :rolleyes

Different strokes for different folks. :lol

never really thought jayz was all that. i can count the songs i've ever sort of liked of his on one hand
i like anyone from queens bridge way more than him, i like more Nas albums than Jay-z songs but to each his own and i like his beats but his rhymes are very weak thats just my opinion.

completely agree on the nas albums compared to the jayz songs. he doesn't really have many songs with great lyrics or delivery... not even his very early stuff.

If someone in the Bay Area is still looking for a pair at retail, I was just told of a place that will be getting a restock (in-store). PM me ( if you pm and you just created an account, don't bother)

-say no to resellers

Hey NT! I've been a lurker on the site on and off since 2000, and have posted from older accounts in the past but I guess they've been wiped out since. This will  be my first official post under my new account and I figure what better first post then of my favorite shoe, and the one that got me into sneakers in the first place, the "Bred" XI's.

So on a lazy Sunday I decided to take some photos of the 4 different releases of this shoe. I have a pair from each year from 1995-2012 in deadstock, factory laced condition. I hope this helps people compare some of the differences in the shoe throughout the years (patent leather cut, carbon fiber plate, red tint, etc.). Also, if anyone is interested I can do some side by side analysis on specific pairs. Thanks and hope you enjoy!

Pretty bad *** you're lucky enough to have all releases!

I actually like the profile of the 2012 better. They have more of a casual appeal, they look more jean/pant friendly!

i bought two pairs of the XI, and was pretty disappointed with quality. Around the toe box was where it was uncomfortable.

I found that to be true with my pair on the first wear. I'm chalkin it up to them just needin to be broken in a little bit. The discomfort wasn't unbearable but noticeable just enough to be a little annoyin. Hopefully next wear won't be a problem.

Restock!!!  For any one in the BAY, Shiekh at Valley Fair Mall is having a "relocation" (new location in the same mall).  So they have Js retro restock this Friday and Saturday (promotional).  99% sure that BRED 11 is available this Friday. Go get yours if you miss out on previous re-stock. FCFS on the shoe.

They didn't tell me what's on Sat or Sun beside told me to check back at the end of the week.

Don't bother with phone call because I don't think the telephone line is being rerouted by AT&T yet.

wait.. not entirely! Read my post carefully.  There are more restock on Fri, Sat and maybe Sun.

Good luck to those trying on the re-stock.

I'm glad these retros dropped again, decided to break out my twice worn 2001 Bred pair. They seem to have more room in the toe box than this newest release but it's cool to freshen up the pile.
