Official Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Thread

It's
I know, below retail. But what i mean is are these that nice or is this hype? I like em, but dont love em. I dont wanna grab em and change my mind later, sellin on CL for 80 bucks because theyre worth nothing. IE Jordan red/white 2s from last yr.
its simple, if you like the shoe buy it and wear it. If not Dont buy it and let someone cop for retail so they can wear it. Shoes should be worn, they are not an long term investment.

Sounds Like You're Buying Shoes For All The Wrong Reasons Bud :{

No Offense But Your Reasoning Seems Down Right Childish As Well :rolleyes

If You Like The Shoes, Buy Them, If You Don't, Keep It Moving..... We Can't Tell You How Your Feelings For This Shoe Are Gonna Change Over Time.... Seems Like You Want Us To Tell You These Will Be Some Big Payout Down The Line, And Only Then Would They Be Worthy Of You Spending Under Retail On :|

The idea of having shoes for long term investment is the biggest joke.

The returns on even the most prestigious pairs is not worth holding onto them, tucked away in your basement or whatever; especially since you aren't even wearing them. Ever.

THIS. YOU DESERVE MANY REPS!!!!! FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT!!!!!!!!!!!

People see price rising on Jordan's like there is no upper limit but there is. Every item has a threshold in the market. Not many people still will buy Banneds after 1k. Can someone picture buying them 2k for a couple years from now? I see OG 1's sit on eBay for 800. If your trying to stow away some shoes for 10 years and it goes from 100 to 1000 dollars, was that really a worthy investment? People can invest into so much more with their time and effort. The only time it's worth keeping in your closet is if you actually love the freaking shoe and want to wear it when you beat up the first pair. That's called personal investment.

The problem is that it CAN be a quick profit or some quick cash. That gets some cats out here delirious :{

Wow, 71 pages? I didn't realize the AJ1 Lows were that serious.

So I took the time to condition these lows yesterday. It made a big difference on how they look. Before, they looked cheap and plasticky. Now, they have a deep, quality leather look to them. Definitely worth the few minutes it took to condition the shoes.
What did you use to condition the shoes? Can't say I'm too crazy about that sheen the conditioner left behind. Does it wipe off at all?

Exactly. Every rare shoe I own has been worn. My first time around collecting I had shoes worth $400 (that was extreme back 7 years ago) become worthless. Everything comes out again, and every fad looses its dominance.
