Yeah it takes undeserved hate. The colorway is one of the best ever so it’s kind of hard to go wrong. Especially when the materials are quality.I do not understand the hate for these. This is the first pair of ones I've bought since the 2001s and I love these.

I love the Royal 1 (have both the 2001s and the 2017s), but it’s just the way the all over suede looks on these that makes them a no go for me. They lack the contrast that the leather panels display way better IMO, and as a result they look a lot like the Flyknit 1s (which I also disliked with a passion).I do not understand the hate for these.
