Was the first in line at my HOH. When the store opened, there were only two of us waiting to buy the Black Gums (the other person was from Cali).
I was a little disappointed they didn't let me use any discounts on them. They're a solid color way. To make a Black silhouette with gum sole really stand out requires some thought. Off the top of my head, there's these the KD7, AJ Future and a few others that dropped.

Yes that must be it. Couldn't possibly be the fact that they're plain and that there are numerous better kicks to get.

If they were a matte with a white midsole id be hurt for passing. As is they completely missed the mark

I'm pretty sure most would agree with me. At least about the finish on the leather.
However what are you even doing here? This wasn't a hyped release for you to brag about?

From the start I was only around for the Black/Gums if they end up on a decent discount. But I love the fact that they used a black midsole.

Neither.. They'll be more like the Black/Whites. They won't reach Shadow level, but they're not almost universally disliked like the Laneys/Reels.

Not quite, I simply notice that you only post in the threads I visit when the release is well regarded as super popular. This is the general trend I've noticed. Perhaps you frequent other threads more religiously I don't really know or care.
And I don't see how all black flat leather upper with a gum sole is completely mimicking the patents. These would have flat leather not patent, no gold on the upper, and solid outsides.

Those patent leather 1s aren't wearable imo. U could prolly wear em to a stevie concert, but not a shoe u could wear regularly.

The black gums weren't bad, but the shiny leather made them look like a ladies pair. They should've used better looking uppers on such a simple colorway.
