I’ll be done with this when they stop and offer what you’re suggesting. Don’t think it’s a bad idea at all, but they really need to cut the nonsense and trim the lineup. But as long as people buy, they’ll keep producing.

2/3 of those are geared toward normies and have zero impact on any of us. You couldn’t even tell us which ones released recently cause you and everyone else pays no attention. And they sell. I could not care less what variants they drop. Not sure why anyone would.

You’re telling me you follow what’s dropping for mids, phats, cheapo lows? I couldn’t tell you what’s out there without looking for them on some sites. Those models have zero impact on retro pricing or availability and serve a completely different market. They’d still exist if everyone stopped buying retros. It’s completely irrelevant to what I collect and wear so why would I care what they do?

It’s easy to say we don’t actively lookout for what’s coming out, but there are certain folks on here that make it difficult to ignore even if it’s a mid or non-og low. While neither one of us would go out of our way for a mid apparently, it doesn’t change the fact there is still too many variants out here. Why do collabs get a pass? They’re targeting the purists?

Union Collab is on a pair of OG Highs.

AFAIK, they don’t do collabs on 85s nor mids (although they have in rare cases done so for the latter in the past).

Correct. But a collab is still a collab. The ‘25s will be sought after like the previous ones. But their previous Beauty Supply joints along with the A Ma Maniere’s were both on an OG High as well. Neither did #’s if I recall. Aside from collabs, OG Highs have numerous bad color ways that even sit in outlets.

Income tax hit Saturday. So many options. I saw the black toe 1 in shoe Palace. I kind of want them. My cousin didn’t like the fact they didn’t have a wing logo, but I really don’t mind it. Kinda brings out the shoe historian in me. I also saw the pink Nike Air tech challenges along the wall. I’ve always wanted a pair of those.

I don’t know I think I’m Going to attempt to get those union AJ1, but I probably won’t win which will be OK because I’ll probably just end up getting the flu game/Bred 12s.

That writing on the side is barely even noticeable so hard to get too up in arms about it. It's definitely a nod to actual history. Yes, the wings logo is preferred, but if it was so great, why did it get replaced after only two models. As some have noted, it kind of looks like the airline wings pins they used to give out to kids.

The entire shoe was rushed back in the day with a desperate attempt to create something that looked bespoke, but really had similar construction and look to basically every other shoe at that time (BK, Converse, etc.). They tried again with more time on the 2s, but that didn't fly, though at least it was truly original. The 3s were a hit, and the rest is history.

I like the nod to the history of the BT, much prefer the black tongue, and the box is amazing. Super happy these can be had at discount.
