I kind of wanted the shorts and hoodie, but by the time I decided I actually wanted them, it was like 4 hours after drop and they were all sold out. That being said, one of the stores I was following (can't remember which one) said they were getting the clothes also

Exactly. In particular with the ROTY, they have the same arrangement (or colorblocking) of color (red on the Chis but wheat on the ROTY), black, and white, as the Chicagos. And since the Chis are one of the OGs, that colorblocking is deemed the Chi colorblocking. The Reverse SBB also share this colorblocking. The Blk/Reds and Royals have the same colorblocking in terms of their color, black, and white arrangement, and we all just call that Blk/Red colorblocking. We include the Shadows as having the same colorblocking, even though they are technically different in that they have a black outsole, as opposed to a colored (Shadow) outsole like the other two. The other common colorblocking people reference are the SBB/colored toe (see SBB OG, Pine Toe, Court Purple Toe, Blk/Red Toe) and the Black Toe (with the white toe, white tongue).

The other classic color blocking I think about is the two-tone one like Black/whites, UNCs, Storm Blues, etc. Not too many in that style but it's definitely one of the ones I think about when I think of "classic color blocking."

i was more so talking about stock numbers tho, for example. let's say both union colorways had 10k pairs made, it would seem like the storm blues are more limited but that wouldn't be true. the black toes were just allocated to other shops instead of giving the pairs to one store

ok, that makes sense. so when 0takusamsay is mentioning colorblocking on those ROTY, he's just talking about the white it shares with chicago;s, black toes, for example.

Yup. As you can see for almost all the recent 1's that have dropped, they have all exploited these color blockings.

1. SBB 1.0 = UNC Patent, Court Purple, Pine Green, Bred Toe Etc.
2. Black/Red= Crimson Pink, Spike Lee NY's Etc
3. Black Toe = Fragment, Best in the Game Pack Etc
4. Chicago= ROTY, Game Royal, SBB 2.0 Etc.

Heavily debating on joining team... getting rid of all your kicks besides Jordan 1's.

I wore my Bred 11s today and it felt so weird. It's really hard breaking away from wearing 1's, they're just so easy to style and fit great.

(Might have to keep the classics like a BC3s/4s and special collabs, but other than that ...eh)
