Thanks for all the feedback. Already hit up nike twitter, and they asked for the order number to start up the investigation. We''ll see how this plays out, stay tuned!

Hated the orange laces so I looked at them and realized the color blocking looks 10x better with blue laces like breds and royals look better with black imo. Picked up wax laces and leather laces. Trying to figure which to keep,I'm thinking leather

Great lace swap. Really made this CW pop with the color blocking [emoji]128293[/emoji]

Now that I have a few of the 2016 bred 1s, I'm probably gonna sell me 2011 banned 1s size 9 if anyone is looking for them. Wore them but good condition

By law no retailer is supposed to sell an open box or as in this case worn item as new. Nike is dead wrong.

I'd still keep those worn Banned's as long as there wasn't any wear showing any where else on the shoes. I'd just make a fuss about it to Nike, who usually have a good customer satisfaction policy, so I'd get accommodated on a future purchase.

"Tried on" and "worn" ride on a thin line. Very subjective in Nikes return department.... :rollin

Surely people aren't that desperate for these shoes to accept them used for a new price.

they're really not THAT bad. if you set aside the fact that they came from nike, $160 for that condition is actually really good. now add the nike factor and if they give him a 30% code, that is a solid deal IMO. am i condoning the fact that nike sent him a used pair of shoes? definitely not, but it's not like any of us would send them back, so let's keep it real. the only downside would be if he got the pair to stock for a bit.

You can wear Nike kicks for like a month and still return. Not so sure on Jordans but definitely on performance gear

The only thing that looked bad on the shoes were the dirty bottoms. I think that would qualify as being "worn" vs. "tried on."

Any how, the purchaser is still faced with two options. Either keep what would be considered a "V...NDS" pair on the resell market at retail price or return the shoes with the looming possibility that NDC won't have a replacement and you'd never see the shoe again at that price.

All just depends on the purchaser's principles and how deeply they want the shoe.

Honestly I'd keep the shoes and hound tf out of NDC for an extensive discount off a future purchase.

The fact that it passed the return department in that condition is a shock. What doesn't pass is the question??

I've seen some horribly worn pairs in the past at my Nike outlet. Some to the point of looking like they should be at a second hand or goodwill store

a lot of store employees barely look at the shoe when someone makes a return. Not surprising at all.

i've had the opposite experience. i had this guy at the leesburg outlet tell me that they never released the sport blue 3s when i tried to return them. of course i put him in his place and got my refund.
