I think Breds have same SBB leather except that it has a coating on top so they won't be soaking up water like the SBB

it's clear to see

that's actually something i had not thought of. i wear my 1s in all types of weather and SBBs are the only pair that I consciously keep them out of water. if these soak up water like the SBBs, :x

I wash my SBBs after every wear and water droplets do hit the shoe but they haven't stained like you guys are mentioning.  Are you submerging these under water or something.. lol

Wait till the new breds drop then watch eBay, goat, FC, and minus the 20% of what people are selling em for or what they are going for and you should have a good average of the price

I bet you don't wash them like you say, be real. I'm not even sure if you could treat the leather on them they wouldn't show signs of water. It doesn't take much to stain that leather. I'm even careful just wiping mine down.

And let me clarify, when I wash them, I am only referring to the mid and bottom sole of the shoes.  I do not scrub the leather so apologies for the confusion.  What I am trying to say is that when I wipe and rinse them down carefully, water does hit the leather but it doesn't stain.

Anyway, same here. The water marks hit the orange areas but they disappear within minutes.  Maybe someone can post up their SBBs that has a permanent stain from washing?
