i dont disagree with this. There have been a ton of whack cw's released.

But i consider favorites like NYC, LM, SB's, JEters, in that whack category. I see no appeal with any of these.

Feel like there was just as much stuff people didn't like 5+ years ago as well. Just forgotten from the mind.

Don't get me wrong the were some nice J1 releases, but the market is/was just overflown by the designs no one cared about and JB just beat the hell out of the 1's and ruined one of the dopest J's by releasing whack cw's over and over again.Same thing happened with the 3's..."infrared" "wolf grey" and "poweder blue" being a prime examples, but 10-15 years ago new colorways of the 3's were just as dope as the classics ones.

Oh and please don't act stupid by saying
"How do newer releases affects the older models" The answer is simple, this isn't a fashion show.Every sneaker has its own unique story when it comes to basketball, and retros are so dear to our hearts because it's like a time machine, aside from sports we all have our own memories with a certain pair of sneakers. So there is that.Sneaker culture in america is more than just being fly and collecting sneakers for the sake of it,every pair triggers nostalgia and has its own journey. When new pairs start dropping like rain, with no history behind em and even worse, in a horrible colorways it ruins the sneaker.

Seems like theres always people who think new colorways are terrible...like when the mocha 3s dropped...or the Doernbecher 6's...nothing new here. Wait a few years and people start clamoring about how nice the older releases were

I agree for the most part but I really liked the infrared 3's, especially with a black lace swap. On a side note I tried on a pair of laser 1's today at the mall. Man were those comfortable as hell! To anyone who has both the Frags and the Lasers, are they both really comfy with that cushy tongue / ankle collar?
