Canvas....not a fan. I will check them out when I get them but good chance of a return on these unless they are stellar in hand.

understood.

i think the hype on the 1s is justified; you can wear them with nearly anything. a lot of jordans look odd to me off the court, ditto for lebron 12s, some kobe 9's, etc.

Some people say that a restock will only drive the price up. From my personal experience, i find that to be the otherway around (of course depending on the shoe and the massive hype). For the NYC's, if they restock during ASW, i can only see the price going down because people will dump those pairs quickly onto the market and the market will once again be slightly flooded, driving other sellers to lower each other out. If it was the frags on the other hand, they will only go up no matter the restock.

I'm just looking for the fair market value for the NYC's now and seeing how the price will change during ASW. Only recently started liking the NYC (originally didn't like the embossed 23NY on the back)

I am hoping it drives the price down as I would like a pair for decent price. I have seen $300 on Twitter for 10-13 sizes. But it is dry as people are waiting to see what will happen.

$300 sounds fair to me, what was the retail? I'm looking around and the average price i'm seeing is $400-$460 which is probably negotiable, and then there are people who think they can get $600-$800 for these.

why is there still a splash page on FNL

i swear their page goes out of commission for a whole day on release days

i'm just trying to check my rewards points b

Depending on size $400 seems more like a real price to me than $300, you might be able to break someone down to $350-$375 if you catch the right person but they are going quickly in the $400 range(size dependent).

These were sitting at NTSF when I stopped by earlier. Checked them out in hand, I decided to save my money for the next shoe.

When they are going for $400 at FC.....take away that 20% and you are at $320. That is street price for those 12-13 sizes.

Just checked, didn't know they had dropped that far.  Your completely right, $325 is very fair.  If you can get someone down to $300 then thats a really good price.

Whoever those "some people" are have no idea what they're talking about :lol

Obviously more product of a shoe means a decrease in after market price.

yeah a few members said that not too long ago about the NYC restock, and I laughed in my head because I think otherwise. Their reason was that because the restock got the hype going again and should cost more.

Lulz.

Can't wait for them to restock though because I'm also looking for them in the same size range as you

It's different for different releases. Like I remember preludes, Royals, 88s and fears all just went up with each time they were restocked...then you got these nyc 1s that have dropped multiple times and price just continues to come down.

Yup, but you got the frags I need haha. Hopefully I get lucky at the restock for the NYC.

yeah it really depends as I said before, like frags are going to go up even if it restocks. The preludes however did drop, The prelude 5's were going for $500-$550, then the sudden restock during ASW happened and I was able to pick them up from a reseller looking to dump them quick for $350, talked him down to $300 meetup

Yep, restocks don't always help. I never did find a good price for the '88 III's even after the restocks. I finally just moved on. I was over it.

When it comes to the NYC's it's really luck of the draw...had to mix and match to create the best possible coupling between three pairs and still ended up having to accept one with some ashiness on the medial side. Maybe with each re-stock people are seeing the reality behind a lot of these pairs in person as the resale pipeline makes its way throughout the country, hence the drop in value.

If you do happen to have a perfect pair ...

2011 joints are just as nice. I know that I'm the OG thread were the nike branding makes a difference but 3s....not so much

I guess the fellas caught on to the new sizing change just fine...or there are a lot of female basketball players excited about their new pickups coming soon.
