Well, the leather really seems to be very nice and creases the way leather has to crease. But compared to my older AF1s from 2001 etc. its not as soft as their leather. Nevertheless I'm really happy with their quality.
And referring to the toebox-shape:
I was sooo disappointed about the shape of forces from the last 10 years. I wrote to Nike complaining about this, showing the difference in pictures and what great damage this reshaping to the bulky toebox caused. They were really irritated about the huge differences in the pics. But as I could just reach the guys over here at Nike Europe they admitted that they actually can't help. They really encouraged me to contact Nike US directly. Maybe they change something if more of us guys asked directly for the nicely shaped toeboxes AF1s once had. I somehow believe that more of us make the difference.
Okay, for now I did the reshaping myself. Ironing changed everything and turned out to be the right tool for that. Sometimes I think they just left out this last step of shaping. Thing is: it just works with plain leather. Doesn't work with textile or patent stuff.
