But you said performance. Aesthetics that went exactly with what he was wanting. They had some pretty solid execution with most of the colorways.

No, when most people use the word performance they're talking about how does it perform in it's designed field.

Appearance, performance, playability, visuals have different meanings.

I love the Book 1's aesthetics and possibilities with colorblocking and colorways. Those and the AE1 are my favorite basketball signatures of the year. However, unlike the AE 1, its rollout with cws has been like:

They're finally putting out some good cws that I'd actually scoop up. So far, I have one.

On the contrary, since their launch, the AE 1 cws have been like:

So far, I have eight. That's certainly the most that I've EVER scooped up for any signature basketball shoe in its initial run/campaign.

Let's be honest, there's been some trash CWs of the AE1s too.

And my guy Harden has been putting fire out with the Vol. 7s, 8s, and 9s.

Mainly Georgia Clays and Velocity Blues were the weakest of the mids I can remember.

My only gripe with the colourways is that they insisted on using black sockliner/upper on a lot of the colourways.. it worked because it's hard to mess up but it's a bit lazy imo.
