Btw, why is our game on ABC tonight? I find it strange that it's on a Wednesday...at 8:30 at home

Fournier signing was years ago when we desperately needed shooting. It was good process but obviously has not worked out, in large part to simply getting players who are better than him.

I dont think he was benched because we got players better than him. Thibs goes out of his way to not play him.

How many career 15ppg scorers in the league are rotting on the bench right now? He's good enough to get 10-15mpg on most teams as a decoy/specialist. Especially on a team that severely lacked shooting last year.

if RJ had a “personality” like Julius is said to have he’d been called all types of names and cats would’ve wished him and his contract were gone and been ecstatic about the trade but being that he seems like a good kid we get the dramatics.

And son had a few good Playoff games, do you think the sonics were crying and reminiscing over Jerome James playoff performance or were they looking at his overall track record and contract he was about to get. Give 95% of the NBAs bench players RJs opportunities and they will replicate what he did.

Lots of buzz around tonights game. Gonna be some serious overreactions if OG shows up again in a dominant win.

He just hates him for some reason. Literally finds any opportunity to slander him.

I know we don't like Thibs but the team took off once the rotation was cut & then eventually adding Hart. Won a playoff series. Took the Heat to six.

Nobody was a Fournier fan the first couple months of last season.

I think a better coach finds minutes for Fournier. Could be depending on matchups, spot situations, etc.

Thibs has a bad rep for killing any confidence a player has by going to extremes with these benchings.

There's no way Miles McBride is better than Fournier.

B I liked RJ a lot but he never improved and deep down you knew it was time to move on but then fans started getting Frank crazy with him and it triggered me

Contradictory garbage like this is why anything concerning Deuce w/ you is just that…garbage.

Dudes are reminding/telling you how the team performs better w/o the Frenchman.

Says he has a bad rep for killing player confidence but you’re worried about Evan getting meaningless minutes.

Rotation is what the rotation is. Get over it.

There’s no way you’re this dumb.

I definitely understand the trade and the fit with OG is undeniable (at least from the small sample size), but you’re just trashing RJ for the sake of. Let’s also be clear that RJ showed waayyyyy more promise than Frank. He was easily our second some times best player in the playoffs. Considering that this franchise hasn’t sniffed the playoffs much in the last 30 years means a lot. Fans, such as myself, are probably annoyed with yet another young player that the org gave up on too soon. Whether RJ, IQ, Obi reach their potential remains to be seen, but you can’t knock folks for riding with the young guys, hoping they’d stick around for the long haul, only to be dumped…again.

RJs contract is fine. Most the players in that range arent even as good as him.

We’re slandering RJ too much. He was the 2nd best player on a 2nd round team last year. Dude works hard and plays hard when it matters.

He has his flaws as a player, so not mad the team moved on. But to think he was some throw in? Nah.

He wasn’t a throw in. Raps think they can get more out of them in his hometown.

BUT…

Immanuel Quickley was the main prize for the Raps. It was mainly about him.

RJ is that dude you choose as 5th man on your pickup team at the park bc you're cool with him and he always pick you when he has next.

ihart has been playing real well. very happy to see him fill his spot the way he has
hope we can see some movement from grimes

RJ was a ride or die/grateful to be in NYC dude. Was he the most consistent or efficient? No. He played hard most nights though and is 23 with a long career ahead of himself.

That's how I felt about him... He had flaws in his game but I didn't question his effort for passion or willingness to play for this team and I appreciated that

Evan shattered the Knicks' single-season 3pt record, only to be benched the following season. 🤷

In Thibs' realm, defense takes precedence over offense. Even favorites like D Rose found themselves on the bench. While some Knicks may struggle, as long as they play solid defense, Thibs keeps them on the court.

In my opinion, a skilled coach would explore offensive options to spark change, even if it's uncertain. Thibs' reluctance to try speaks volumes about his coaching approach..
