Yeah I don’t see this as being some huge game changer personally. It’s not like NFL teams were lining up to hire him post patriots. I’m sure they’ll be decent after a couple of years but not some juggernaut
He turns 73 in April and it’s a 3 year contract. He won’t be around to give them much more than a couple years.

Also, he's awful brave bringing his 24 year old southern belle GF around that basketball team. Seeing Bill crash out outside a dorm room at 1 in the morning is gonna be something.

Win % with Tom Brady: 77%
Win % without Tom Brady: 45%

Eh. I think it's a lot easier to find your "next Tom Brady" through recruiting and the transfer portal then relying on the draft and free agency.

Regardless if it works out with Bill, the fact that UNC is going all in on football is going to do wonders with the program. Even if Belichick completely flames out the program will be in a lot better spot than it was in regards to resources to compete at a higher level.

They’re really playing up his ties to the program. His dad was an assistant there for 2 years when he was a toddler…

Everyone knows the real reason he’s in Chapel Hill is because there was no pro interest and that’s OK.

This move works for both parties. Bill gets back into coaching and UNC makes a public commitment to football before the next big wave of realignment.

That’s assuming the appetite to spend big will still be there after he’s gone.
