When you think about how well Ohio State has recruited QB position (Heck, they even have a couple of highly ranked the guys on their bench in Sayin and Noland) It's crazy how poor the level of QB play Ohio State has gotten the last couple of years from McCord and Howard.

I have a honest question for Ohio State fans, especially witnesskb24 witnesskb24 . From what you saw this year from Will Howard, do you think he was a noticeable upgrade from McCord?

McCord having a great season shocked me, especially since it seemed OSU fans didn't care for him.

Get off my corner

Rose is off the bloom in Clemson, Mario teams continue to Mario, UF has to keep Bayou Billy and I can’t even enjoy it because Mike lost 10 games

Absolutely not and I said that from the time he came to OSU. He’s a slightly more mobile Kyle McCord with a way weaker arm. If you watch buckeye games, they have absolutely zero deep ball threat. Not the receivers of course, it’s 100% on Howard. Dylan Gabriel and Cam Ward were both in the portal and they land on a Kansas State backup? Nah that’s awful

In fact, me and Bobby Layne Bobby Layne were talking before the season on here and we both said OSU improved in all of the positions that they were fine in but didn’t address the biggest weak spots the OL and QB positions nearly enough. They added Seth McLaughlin at center but that’s not where they needed someone.

The whole McCord situation was a screw up dating all the way back to Ewers. He was supposed to be the QB after Stroud but Day and Co mismanaged that to hell so he left and they were stuck with McCord and Devin Brown (who is even worse)

I like seeing McCord have success at Cuse, good for him. It’s not really fair to compare those numbers though, he’s thrown it 522 times this year compared to Howard throwing it 281 times lol

So, obviously living in the Seattle area and being friends with Husky fans, I hear a lot of chatter. I swear, the way Husky fans talk about those three wins over Oregon, you'd think they'd manhandled them, and I'm sure Lanning stays up at night thinking "we were THIS close". Those three games came down to field goal margins. I know Washington went through upheaval, and 6-6 is about where I had them at this year. A couple of games could have gone either way, (WSU, Rutgers, USC) so .500 seems appropriate. However, I think it was coaching malpractice to insert Williams into random spots and not letting him get more reps in the back half of the season. Rogers was a lost cause, and their defense bailed him out for a couple extra wins. He got wrecked today, but he is at least a dual threat, and Coleman and the receivers are coming back. I did not realize how short Williams is, though. Maybe it's because it was seeing him around Oregon's massive line, but he looked tiny out there tonight.

Do you want Arch now or not? I know you think you’re brilliant at avoiding the question

I’ve tried to be a mostly passive observer of this thread for most of the season now, but this Arch/Ohio State **** is getting exhaustive now.

They never even tried to get much into that recruitment. witnesskb24 witnesskb24 plays that nako xl nako xl broke boy game, but even I don’t fault them on not even getting involved. Coop had a number and Texas had it.

Coop had a number and Texas had it. Ohio State had equally higher rated QBs and decided the game wasn’t worth playing. Not sure what the boner is about.

Most of us here didn’t think Arch was worth what the family was looking for. He’ll probably look good again next year too. But he’ll probably pull an Eli when he goes to the NFL and demand to go to somewhere with a $100MM OL to keep him clean.

He said Arch has been overrated since HS, why is them recruiting him or not relevant. He hates Will Howard and every QB before him.

He posted a tweet of Ryan Day being a dumb **** and for some reason my response about Ryan Day he took to heart like I was talking to him. He should think why that is :lol

He has been acting for two and a half years like Ohio St and their current QB situation is above Arch

Yet he hates every QB they put on the field :lol

He’s just being a ******* dumb Ohio St *****, boyfriend’s former girlfriend line are you a person

And the last repeat Heisman Trophy winner was a dude named Arch from…

I think they have some leeway on dudes named Arch.

The NCAA is gonna ban those flags pretty soon. It's not like you need them after the team introductions anyway.

We are above wanting him, and no we don’t want to pay the dollar amount no no we couldn’t shoulda woulda
