TheGodFresco Closest thing resembling this year so far is probably 2003 which is not really good sign if you're superstitious :\

That year, they finished 100-61 and were in first place literally the entire year and ended up losing to the Marlins in the NLDS

The core of this team has already proved they can win the entire thing with the chips stacked against them so I wouldn't worry about superstitions anymore or comparisons to past chokers. 

my memory goes back to the mid 90s and this is definitely the best Giants TEAM I have ever seen. Individually they might not be the sexiest names, but as a unit they are elite.
