Well my personal preference is winningCool. But thing is your nor my personal preference ultimately should have much standing in evaluating a player. That was the point.

They weren’t actively destroying their own teams’ chances when it mattered. What did Stockton and Nash win though?

This is true, but there's no way they harmed their teams more than Russ does, not with his level of inefficiencyNot shooting when your team needs you destroys your chances of winning

Nash didnt refuse to take shots. He dropped 48 in the playoffs before. He just chose to involve his very talented teammates and run a team offense, an extremely effective team offense. Which has literally nothing to do with why Phoenix couldn’t get over the hump.So John Stockton shooting once in a half of a NBA Finals or Nash refusing to take shots when he's a multiple time 50/40/90 wasn't actively destroying their teams chances when it mattered?

Your point is so incoherent it’s like arguing with a Trump supporter, different planet ****.

Right now Westbrook is playing sub replacement level at every facet of the game, and this isn’t the first time. He’s very possibly the worst 3 point shooter in nba history in terms of impact.

Nash probably could have been proto-Steph, sure. But that’s not the point. The offense he ran as a pass first PG was extremely effective and Nash was incredibly effective in that role. It’s not why they lost in the playoffs. Meanwhile you’re comparing him to a player who is actively hurting his team by shooting horrendously and making bad decisions.the game plan in the playoffs against the suns a lot of the times was to not help and make Nash beat you. He’ll tell you he could have been more aggressive. He wasn’t Stockton bad where he flat out was just running the offense for no reason but still.
stockton tricked y’all into thinking that’s how the PG position is supposed to be played
For an entire decade Nash led teams were the best offenses in the leagueNash should have shot more? Yeah probably.
but in the end, they had the best offense in the history of the league by a gaint margin.
Given the era Nash's lack of aggression as a scorer wasn't preventing them from winning a chip.
