nah. or maybe yah. but you can't call that in the playoffs at the buzzer. it was tied. go to OT and solve it there. he didnt push him, he just touch him, and the shot was welllllllll gone. he was already headed to the ground. that was an immature reffing decision.
My bad I meant to say wasn’t a foul. But I agree can’t call that in the playoffs on the last shot unless it’s indisputable. Definitely shoulda been OT

Interesting.

Exactly.

So yea, not calling it a White Privilege thing at all.

Great PG's Skip the line.

THanks for that.

I didn't even think to mention Mark Jackson and Kerr (SG).

He also could have mentioned The Magic Man.

But THAT Black man isn't the one doing the hiring.

I am more likely to call it a non-white privilege situation simply because Kidd/Magic (two all time great PGs) also "skipped the line.

Did Isaiah Thomas sit on anyone's bench as an Assistant? I don't recall that happening either.

All-Time great PGs get that luxury of skipping the line.
Exactly. Also, superstars get what they want in this league period. This was not Steve Nash's idea I guarantee that.

this is a whole can of worms. I'm not saying it wasnt white privilege either. Often times, maybe through social conditioning, but black men prefer white men in authoritative positions. Or also as their assistants and partners in business. Still conditioned to put caucasian people on pedastels, even subconsiously. Not saying this happened, but this happens in sports OFTEN. I'm seen first hand accounts of it, guys preferring the white finance/accountant over the black one. The white real estate agent over the brown skinned one. With equal or less success in the markets too.

Look at the trainers that were pissed because Chris Brickley was getting all the players to come to him over them despite their same level of success in helping guys.

Social Conditioning. Subconcious.
Thanks for acknowledging those points.

Respect.

Strange hire and that’s that lol

with that roster I’m sure he will be fine but yeah .... strange

White privilege obviously happens with coaching searches all the time. This just isn’t an example of it, IMO. More of a cronyism issue.

Marvin Williams is def better than Grant Williams and Semi Ojelye

Ok...next question since we've established PG's skip lines.....has there been any really successful PG Coachs? Besides Kerr with that HOF roster?

Why are PG's assumed to be good coaches? Becuase the narrative is always that they're the 2nd coach on the floor? The Floor General? Most PG coaches be cheeks.

Id say its similar to why catchers are favored for manager positions in baseball

Similar type of position

Yeah this has more to do with him being an all time great than it does him being white.

And him being tight with KD.

It’s interesting because it seems that KD and Nash are actually friends. Seem to recall them appearing at different events for each other. But you don’t necessarily want a coach to be friends with his players.

Doc Rivers skipped the line when he went from broadcasting to the Magic. It's basically him and Steve Kerr as best cases.

Otherwise, you have Jason Kidd, Derek Fisher, Isiah Thomas and Mark Jackson.

All y’all that don’t like this Steve Nash hiring have to DIRECT your energy to KD and Kyrie. For the 10th time, this is all KD’s decision. Nash is his boy.
