Are teams practicing?
Mixed bag but most teams nationally have been practicing for two months now, with a handful being pulled off the field to quarantine.

Some ACC schools have been full contact practicing. I saw a vid of I think Wake in full pads. I think SEC too? BIG12 I’m not sure but assume so based on OU positives and OKst kids talking about the behavior of classmates.

Pac 12 and B1G teams have still been practicing also. Cali schools (except for stanford) aren’t allowed to touch a football or contact each other but can practice other wise. Stanford can have two people touch a football so they can throw.

Miami had a whole scrimmage last night. FSU the night before
I’m not trying to over simply it, but I think you’re underestimating the fact that there is political pressure from the Executive branch and governors pushing the decision for the leagues playing.

Duke was the first school to pull out of the NCAA tournament. You think they want to be playing mother ****ing football when their state active case count is worse now than in March? But publicly they’re putting on a different face.
I for one believe that the schools/conferences that are playing have already committed to playing. Look at UNC, they’re essentially closing campus off to non-athletes. Schools need seasons for $$$. You’re placing weight on a moral compass, when they’ve already tipped their hands. This is about money, pure and simple.

Yes because 1. They have to try to justify tuition so they’re all forcing the issue and brought kids back to school, and 2. There’s some real political pressure and threats to their federal and state funding.

But it’s not going to be a moral compass, so much as a practical one. UNC is going to have trouble justifying a football season after this. All we’re waiting for is the next show to drop and the first school to opt out.

Not sure what you're saying yes to. But there will be football.

it maybe the worst offensive line ive seen at a&m since the millennium turned. i have a hard time believing that team can win the sec.

Almost can’t be worse than last year.

But yeah, they’re going to have to have taken some strides.

The money will be there in the Spring. Especially if campuses are closed and all other fall sports are off as well. There isn't this dire need for immediate funding when nothing is happening. Will there be poor and middle class staff laid off and suffering because of it? Yes. But we also know that their well-being isn't what's driving this decision.

At some point the weight of liability will be considered against the reality that they can play in the Spring without any real competition besides the NBA and you fiends will watch just as much.

I think they'll go 2-3. If they can get three wins in that stretch, give Jimbo coach of the year

I THINK they’re better than Tennessee and Auburn.

They have enough talent that Jimbo needs to elevate and steal one of the other 3.

Campus opening up might do the ACC in...Alotta ppl at UNC mad af

N some of the Big 10 players n parents can cry all they want but that’s not the type of decision to get reversed, only would make everything look worse for that conference

We'll see. I've said what I thought was going to happen. Money now >>>>>

And now you have Saban saying that the Spring will be JV with all draft eligible guys opting out, so yea.

I honestly don't think it will matter much with ACC. The players are healthy, which is honestly all that they care about. They'll push the other classes to remote learning and empty out the campuses or "de-densify" like UNC is calling it.

They can cancel college football.

I'll get my entertainment watching TimTheTatman rage over Fall Guys.

That game is entirely too much. I tried it out yesterday and was getting my *** handed to me by 9 year olds. I understand his annoyance.
