Official 2019 NYK offseason thread. Brooklyn knick fans check in

We really need to suck this year and draft a dynamic PG if we want KD. Don't see us getting two Max contracts so it'll have to be a slam dunk in the draft.

Durant to NY sounds just like Durant to GS & LeBron to LA.

When there's smoke, there's fire...

im not going to get my hopes up like 2010... basically seeing is believing... but if it did happen i wouldnt be too surprised... the lakers did get lebron and they just as bad as us so its possible.. but too many factors for it to actually happen

The allure is the enhanced reputation he would get for bring a championship to NY and making the mecca relevant. Bron's legacy definitely got a boost from that Cleveland chip.

I'm saying it's similar in that there were rumblings about both moves before the season even started. Not saying it'll happen but I'm not dismissing it either.
I feel you, but I’m going with “always think negative so it’s not a let down, but when something positive happens it feels that much better”

KD is gonna take pay cuts and win rings until there's no more to win. Chasing a three peat and possibly a 4 peat is waaaay more alluring than putting Knicks back on the map. But hey, I def didn't see his move to GS coming so what do I know.

KD coming here is a pipe dream. Never gonna happen until he's old and washed.

There's no alpha superstar here for him to hide behind and all the stars around the league see what happened to Melo and his legacy in NYC. He didn't even take a meeting with us last free agency and lowkey clowned the organization.

Like son above said, he's staying in the Bay and running up rings until the wheels fall off that wagon. Don't set y'all selves up for disappointment AGAIN.

Meh I actually believe it. Only because he woulda deaded us long time ago through the media if there was no truth to these whispers/rumors. Slightly similar to what Kyrie has done during media day, put the smoke out.

Clyde called him out, he didnt say anything. This comes out, he doesnt say anything.

We have a legit shot.

Frank can stay because he's a high level defender, every team needs a great perimeter defender.

The defensive end is the only time he's confident on the court. If he never develops even a consistent 3 though it'll be real disappointing.
Sorry man but a defensive specialist who is shaky with the rock can't play PG IN THE MECCA...

He's not a pure pg, not a pure sg or sf... he has the size but NBA level talent, nah...

In this era of positionless basketball with a heavy emphasis on 3pt shooting and switching on defense, he'll be fine.

If we had a elite PG like Kyrie, he'd be the starting SG. You cant rule out a 20 year old in his 2nd season. He might not be a great player, but he's for sure better than Cameron Payne who 24 and somehow still in the league.
