I don’t see why folks are really surprised about this Lakers output. Lebby had a similarly amateur coach to Luke in Cleveland with Ty but all the up and coming teams in the East were young so he could skate with his squad while taking nights and plays off.

They only grabbed the four seed last year. Y’all truly thought he was gonna join this young core in the Western Conference and **** would be sweet after he has really only had such success because he has handpicked his supporting cast in a generally weak conference over the past eight seasons?

This move was 4D. It was more about not wanting championships. If he stays in the East and teams like TOR/BOS/MIL knock him out then he looks weak after four straight Finals runs. But if he loses to like a GSW/HOU even if it’s in the first round then the narrative is “Bbbut bbut bbuttt look who he was up against doe”. This man knows what he is doing.

You realize either way Lebron loses there are excuses made for him losing so it wouldn't matter either way?

Folks always coming up with ways to hate on dude. No reasonable Laker expected greatness from this team from the beginning. We expect another big signing and then there can be talks.

Josh Hart is a sneaky bad defender. He looks much better than he actually is on that end, at least from what I've seen this year
