The longer it drags out the less players available, this is true
But it’s only July 3 and he is like 99 percent announcing tomorrow so....
If he waits til July 10 then yes I can see it being a major issue.

And he did not play well in the games I saw.

The money has dried up for most everybody. Only one getting a decent bag is Danny Green. Only players Lakers have missed out on is D'Lo and Seth. Rest of their targets got overpaid. There's still serviceable players to fill out the roster if Kawhi goes elsewhere. As a matter of fact all the minimum and room guys are still available now and will be available after he finally announces his decision.
