Very impressed with the Kings, I've almost never have seen the Heat outrun like they were yesterday. Hot shooting helped but jesus they were terror in transition. Almost like they finally got their 4 on 5 defense legitimized

Lakers are playing at a breakneck pace. Don't even know where they rank in regards to that, but when I watch they're playing extremely fast. Hard to be good on defense and play that fast at the same time.

LBJ wasn't playing D on slow teams, no way he was gonna defend on a team playing this fast for 82 games. Sometimes it looks like LAL literally is punting the Defensive end.

Nah people guard. Just have to reassess how good defense looks because of pace, 3's, 14 second shot clock, and freedom of movement emphasis.

Milwaukee is playing fast and defending, so it can be done (so far). Actually playing at the exact same pace as the Lakers

See this is exactly how I feel. This **** is IMPOSSIBLE to guard.

And the fact that they are ROASTING teams like these and they got Demarcus returning in January to be a glorified javale McGee but 200 times better is just mind boggling.

Just fast forward to summer 2019 already because barring injuries it’s the warriors winning again.

Our biggest issue is the lineups we've been running late in games given the suspensions and stuff early. Rondo is horrible defensively and a ball stopper yet Puke has him in. No Javele in to rim protect at the end of games either. Kuz sucks and Bron doesn't even try. So yea..

He's in his contract season and he's lookin to get paid. It also helps that the Kings aren't playing Zbo this season so Fox, Buddy, and WCS can pick up the pace which helps WCS's athleticism really shine. It was a bit more obvious yesterday because Whiteside was getting smoked by WCS.

Literally last year only two teams (The sixers and the Rockets) were top 10 in pace and defense.

I am not saying that aspiring contenders shouldn't play defense. I'm saying that it's really hard to be a really good defense while playing at a breakneck pace.

It's tough. Idk if Milwaukee will continue to play this fast, but looking at the Lakers roster, it just doesn't look like they can do both.

but the lakers are under the microscope. each disappointing loss will take a toll on both lebron and magic’s image. therefore it wouldnt take much to use luke as the scapegoat, especially since he was a buss-kupchak hire.

I agree with this. But not through 7 games. Maybe 20 games if the Lakers are still really bad, his seat will get hot. But it's so early right now, that the company line still can be employed by them and to a degree it makes sense.
