Now we're talking regular season.

You just said playoffs is what matters tho..you were willing to bet...you goofy Duke. You gassed off 2 quarters. Ohhhh what could've been. Len Bias. Kawhi Lenard Bias.
Pay him no mind. Remember, birds just like to chirp and he be chirpin

Fultz might never become an allstar but he damn well can be a good useful player. Its up to him whether he wants it or not. Some dudes are happy with the money they make on that rookie contract and just fade away. Others work hard to find their niche

For all the credit the Sixers get about the process people seem to forget that they botched three top six picks (Fultz, Okafor and Noel) in the last 5 years
Eh, Fultz shows promise and the other two simply couldn't compare vs Embiid. Okafor was feeling himself and with all that being said, had flaws in his game that he never addressed or atleast given the opportunity to address. I personally think he still needs a chance to show if he can be that top player that he was projected to be.

But that's the point Hinkie was making.

The Draft in a way is a crapshoot. **** happens and players don't pan out for one reason or another, players get injured, and more. By loading his team w/high lottery draft picks, the chances of finding your Tim Duncan or Lebron is much higher. The ceilings for Jojo and Ben are undoubtedly insanely high and for that alone the process worked.

You can't win a chip without drafting your franchise player. History suggest that. Heat w/wade, Lakers w/Kobe, Warriors with Steph, Spurs w/Duncan, etc. the draft is so important towards a chip that IMO it makes sense (Not that I agree with his approach) to approach the draft and tanking in this manner.

C'mon man, he has played like 15 NBA games. Give him some time.

No. He has shown zero indication on the court so far this season that he’s going to be a legitimate impact player. He has the least flow to his game I’ve ever seen from a player. He looks like a worse version of the Fultz that came back at the end of last season that Brett Brown deemed unplayable once we got to the 2nd round of the playoffs.

“Jahlil Okafor” and “top player” shouldn’t be in the same sentence unless it involved the use of the word “never”.

time to retire.

Id have much more faith in Fultz if he wasnt so weird. I still believe though.

^^^ I still think Nerlens could be a solid rotational player for the right team, if he embraces being an energy, rebound, defense guy.

Okafor, not so much. His above-average post-scorning skills don’t nearly make up for all his other flaws.

Noel never really was "bad". A lot of issues with him personally and strange team situations have derailed his career on the floor so far. He's shown he has value as a rim running big

Yeah, in the couple Pistons games I watched, the bench concerned me. Their lack of depth may be a problem.

Was high on Kennard coming out of Duke...still am. He was expected to have a big role this season and caught an injury 3 games in. He comes back right and that should help them a ton.
