Phil Jackson
Rudy Tomjanovich
Gregg Popovich
Larry Brown
Pat Riley
Doc Rivers
Rick Carlisle
Erik Spolestra
Steve Kerr
Tyronn Lue

That's 10 coaches responsible for the last 25 NBA Championships. So by your logic...are these the only good coaches?
Idk how u drew this conclusion based on my critique of one coach.

I would like to see those, I thought I remembered it being the duke 3 as the top 3 even before the duke Canada trip which vaulted all of them (maybe bol bol was ahead?)

Who was ahead of Zion to where he’d be 10?
I should've said closer to 5, not 5-10. Not exactly the sites I would be normally looking at for info, more so just saying that it wasn't a completely uncommon opinion.

Been so basketball deprived for the last few days that I'm about to willingly watch Suns/Cavs. Yikes.

His first season in Houston he had them with one of the greatest offenses of all time, along with a top 5 defense and pushed the greatest team of all time to the brink,

With two guys who y’all say is playoff frauds in harden and CP3. How tf is d’antoni not just good, but great man lol

They all frauds. Chokers when it matters most.

I remember the early standings, RJ, Can, Bol were ahead and many also had Little ahead. Zion was really known for being super athletic and had the perception that he got his numbers from simply being bigger and stronger then everyone else. People thought he would slow down in college once he gets to play against tougher competition, but that wasn't the case and quickly climbed up to #2 and now is the consensus #1.

A coach who regularly has regular season success with his system yet fails to make adjustments when said system's effectiveness is decreased when it matters most isn't fraudulent?

He's just stubborn or stupid I guess then.

I swear the majority of fans have zero concept of the amount of variability there is in sports.

It’s true. Success and failure are so dependent on situation and context. Teams that win and win consistently have the right mix of talent, chemistry and good fortune coming together at once.

I’ve always said to get some sort of legendary status a large amount of luck or good fortune is necessary.

I mean right from the very beginning a bad match between a player and coach can make or break each other’s careers. For example, In football between a QB and Coach more than ever.

Being in the right place at the right time in any sport.
