Embiid and his should of known the type of reaction that their posts would bring about. Can’t be that tone deaf.
So it's Embiid's fault? Wot?Embiid and his should of known the type of reaction that their posts would bring about. Can’t be that tone deaf.
Question for another thread but how do these dudes end up with white women? is it access and proximity, and if so, why? Just a curiosity more than anything. I come in peace, I don't scriminate.
My girl is white and I’m Asian. Already decided if we ever end up married with kids we giving the kids both our last names to represent their diversityAnd you know what, my interracial kids are the most beautiful little people I have ever seen.
I don’t give a **** who Embiid dates or has kids with but I was kinda side eyeing his girl’s comment to the Instagram post.

It shouldn’t be but it is. He’s a celeb, a black one at that and those rules are different.
You can’t have your white gf calling you an African and you thanking her for loving your African ***
It’s just the acumen that comes with the position he holds
Not sure who is or isn't a minority in this thread, but as a minority who grew up experiencing different levels of racist ****, it's almost a built in defense mechanism. There are many instances I bring up my Asian-ness in a self deprecating or humorous way, but I know deep down it's almost what Eminem did in 8 Mile. If I bring up my race first then you can never use that. It's silly because most of the time other people weren't even thinking anything racial, but I've built up this self defense from my childhood it still lingers today. Obviously being an armchair psychologist here but I wouldn't be surprised if Embiid was doing the same hereIt shouldn’t be but it is. He’s a celeb, a black one at that and those rules are different.

You aren’t getting me. It was obviously in fun and self deprecating, but when you’re jojo the all star from the 76ers, certain things just look bad optically when you say them and are even worse when your white gf repeats it.
