I met my wife, who is white, at a restaurant. Relationships aren't automatic, they're grown. He might have know ol girl for years, she could have been there while he was laid up for those 15 years he was trusting the process injured. Who knows. Who cares how or why they're together.

Not sure who is or isn't a minority in this thread, but as a minority who grew up experiencing different levels of racist ****, it's almost a built in defense mechanism. There are many instances I bring up my Asian-ness in a self deprecating or humorous way, but I know deep down it's almost what Eminem did in 8 Mile. If I bring up my race first then you can never use that. It's silly because most of the time other people weren't even thinking anything racial, but I've built up this self defense from my childhood it still lingers today. Obviously being an armchair psychologist here but I wouldn't be surprised if Embiid was doing the same here
