Logistically, Indy is actually a really good city for hosting major sporting events. The city is designed to host Super Bowls, Final Fours, etc. It’s also been 25 years since they hosted.
I have no explanation for Cleveland, though.

Yeah, I think Boston doesn’t host because of some event on President’s Day weekend every year. They haven’t hosted since 1964 though, so who knows what all the reasons are.
