It would be real naive to ignore the fact that Rich Paul is a relatively young black man in his profession and it rubs people the wrong way seeing him flex and make moves (same type of moves other agents make). He connects to these players. They speak the same language, they're more comfortable with him and other agents, team owners and GM's don't like that.

Because "they're inexperienced" "they don't know what they're doing"

Again I ask, are the actions taken by Klutch unique or new to the NBA and pro sports? Some of their tactics might be "shady" but you can characterize GM's actions as "shady" you can surely characterize other agencies tactics throughout history as "shady". The negative commentary on Klutch seems to be much louder, social media or not

Agency is a cutthroat business to put it lightly. Rich took an atypical route to get where he is today and is one of if not the most powerful agent in the league. A lot of the other agents don't see him as qualified and really just look at Bron running things which I think is where most of the resentment is coming from. They are trying to upset the apple cart in a myriad of ways.

^^^ Want to make sure what I think of as Knockout is the same thing others are talking about in here. Around my way, knockout was played with 2 balls and as many people who wanted to participate. Everyone lines up at the FT line. When it’s your turn, your shoot a FT. If you make it, you’re still in. Miss, you have to put the ball in the basket before the next guy makes his shot. He makes it before you score, you’re out. And so on until there’s a winner.

Exactly on both. Social media definitely plays a role in this but that's not even really what I was getting at. It's the type of commentary that's out there, could be racial (def partly), could not be, could be both

For instance look at Barkley, KG and Shaq. They act like this is the first time a player has demanded a trade before the deadline. They act like Klutch has invented some sort of new horrific, league destroying strategy

It's all a wonder, from the race dynamic side and also through the prism of former black players

Race is a component in this dynamic but the driving or most important one I'd disagree. I wouldn't even put it top 3. Established black agents are just as furious at what they perceive to be circumvention of rules. I think most of the commentary from old school cats sans Barkley stems from just wanting to see competition and jealously they weren't able to weld this power while they were playing.

Still feel like the perception of Klutch = LeBron is the biggest factor.

Which is unfortunate because I do think Rich has done a great job overall outside of the AD situation where I personally think he probably played his cards a bit incorrectly. Players really seem to like him and he’s powerful.

Race is definitely involved as well. It would be silly to think it’s not on some level.

This is it. Lebron being an active player, the most powerful player in the league who really pioneered players taking control of their destinies as free agents was one thing, but the perception of him doing this with star players under contract and even more egregious trying to benefit himself is letting the cojones hang a little too long.

The player collusion angle is definitely a factor in the negativity. "I don't like that players are teaming up, it disrupts balance"

The natural reaction is to think that there will be an unfair league balance with team-ups however I honestly don't see the scale being tipped much more than what we've seen sans the Heatles era. The Warriors don't count since they built theirs organically

The salary cap is a check/balance to this in general

New Orleans, Louisiana and their caste system Quadroon, Octaroon, Mulatto. Passing for white while somehow denying your African ancestry is the offense. It is the result of racism in America, which would give you more acclaim among whites, suggesting that you are not that Black. Calling yourself mulatto is dog whistle politics. It is like Dominicans suggesting that they are not Black either. This is done just to please White people, making them feel comfortable. As if you have no reason to want to kill them for their atrocities, for what they did to your ancestors.

Since you are not all the way Black, what are you so angry about?!

White racists do it in regard to the Egyptians, claiming that the original Egyptians were not really Black, which they were and are. They are still around.

Calling yourself mulatto should be offensive to even you.
What am I angry about?
I am not sure where you got anger, but if that’s the best you deduced from my post, I would be rapping with a fool to continue this convo, I stopped at “what are you angry about.....you can keep it moving

Perhaps you've misunderstood, the anger part is in italics, used to quote someone. It was suggesting what someone who is white would say to you if you were not accepting of your white side.

I don’t need to read your ignorance shrowded in a blanket of what you believe to be intellect. Done having go rounds with fools.

Big factor here. Teaming up as your contracts are nearing end of term is cool. Demanding middle of your contract to be traded feels shady considering the connection with Lebron/Rich/Lakers.

He demands a trade to another team it would be less of a big deal. He waits til the end of his contract and demands a trade to Lakers it isn't as big of a deal.

I think my definition of shady and putting Davis' actions in context with the history of trade demands renders this as par for the course. Just my opinion

Also too, Davis isn't in the middle of his deal, he's actually closer to the end. He demanded a trade 1.5 years prior to his contract ending. If he waited for the summer, I don't think we'd see nearly the amount of negativity

Fool? lol
I am not the one calling myself a mulatto, thinking that it is a good thing. Perhaps your argument is with your mirror.
All the best.

That's still over a third of what he owes them on his contract. It is a large chunk of his contract's length.
