I don’t disagree. I just think it’s funny that EVERY analyst has the same 3 teams as their breakout/surprise teams. Thats not a surprise. Everyone knows those 3 teams should be in the top 5-10. How can you be a surprise team if everyone has you winning 50 games?
They’re probably basing this off the casual fan. Bucks won 44 games last year and nuggets didn’t even make the playoffs

I get why you’re calling them out but analysts don’t cater to us

HIM HIM

Anything less than a title is a failure

A storied franchise like the Lakers only strive for championships. Finishing 2nd is worse than finishing last, because at least you’ll have a top 3 pick if you finish last. Anything less than a championship is a MASSIVE failure for the Lakers.

Furthermore, if they don’t think they have a shot at winning it all, they should blow it up and tank.

So the addition of Bron is gonna make them the most exciting? The offense-killing, career stifling, stat padder? But just a few months ago...nvm

Yeah but the MAGA crowd hates him. Never mind that they've hated him for years.

Can’t wait to dig up more of these

Might as well just copy & paste his entire posting history from last season. :lol

@tyisny explain yourself

He's gonna type a whole bunch of nonsense and then start arguing with himself.

I gotcha @tyeyes

When people are calling Utah a surprise team, who exactly are they surprising? Won a playoff series last year. No one should be surprised for them to finish 3rd.

This is very true, utah had OKC looking like g-league team on that playoffs matchup.

D-mitch and Co, took out two or more NBA Vets and he's was only a rookie.

So why did the schedule makers even pre-Westbrook surgery think it was a good idea to schedule them, a team that lost in the first round to the Jazz last year, against the world champs on Opening Night at Golden State instead of the Rockets or Lakers?

The only way they’d surprise is if they made the conference finals

Think they can get there next year

Utah COULD make the conference finals but I think they're more likely to go out in the 1st rd unless they draw OKC again.

Not seeing how Utah can make the conference finals. Unless you’re banking on Houston and gsw to meet in the 2nd round.

Let’s go Lakeshow !

This season officially starts our rebuilding phase . Hoping we can at least sneak into that 8th playoff spot this year :pimp:

You know how many barbershops would have tuned into that game had Russ been playing??

Ratings would have been through the roof.

Also, I’m here for the Utah hate in 3 years when they still haven’t made the WCF. Who jumping on the libel train with me? Mitch a beast, but French Theo Ratliff ain’t it, chief.

Now that we are semi contenders in the west again it does seem like a good time to jump on the Utah and Denver hate trains early.
