Aqib Talib, 20th overall was KU's last first rounder. We have had a sprinkling of un-drafted and later round guys in the League but my guess was, before his off the field incident Pooka Williams was our first real shot a first round guy. (Dorance Armstrong was another guy that had a shot at being a first rounder. In some mock he was showing up but a 'down' junior year all but killed that.)

He’s as solid as a 4/5 star QB commit can be a year before signing day. If Helton gets fired or DJ decides to troll him and commit to SC he probably goes to Oklahoma.

It is what it is.
The Cali kids in the 2020 class are sexy. To think, with a better coach and more stable program, we could be looking at Elias Ricks and Justin Flowe in next years class, with Bryce Young and Kendall Milton. We might be lucky to just get one at this point.
