been a yankee fan my entire life and i’ll be first to say jeter was overrated.
not to say he wasn’t great.
i just personally think how well he carried himself on and off the field inflated his persona where he was looked at better than his numbers were.
regardless i still wouldn’t consider him in conversation if greatest ever. you have to take a step back and look at the legends that wore pinstripes. it’s kinda unfair to anyone playing now for them or moving forward though because of what’s came before them.
i mean they are the most storied franchise in all of sports

Possibly.
But I think you can figure out a way to get Archer without Torres, Andujar, Sheffield and Florial. Those guys should be a no-no for every trade offer.
I.e. Montgomery, Chance Adams & Acevado.. Then you go Austin and Fraizer. There's also like 15 guys in the bottom half of our top 30 prospects who will be blocked until like age 30 haha.

Tanaka is always going to give up a lot of home runs. Just a casualty of his pitches. He’s 90% offspeed / breaking stuff. Even if he has an on night, almost impossible for him not to have a mistake where he has a flat slider or splitter that a guy hits a mile.
For Tanaka it’s about can he get a significant amount of swings and misses throughout the game because that decides whether he gives up a couple solo shots or gets shelled for 2 and 3-run Home runs.
Tanaka will be fine in the long run of the season, he always will.
