Part of it has to do with service time for Andujar and Torres. Waiting to put them on the roster later gets another season of control for each guy.

No he's not.

He wasn't put on opening day roster because of the injury, and to give us another year of control on him.

They've also scoffed at any offers including him.

Let Walker, Drury, & Toe handle 2B for now.

I’m saying because we got Drury who’s young and under control who showed he can hit in the big leagues, Plus DiDi, and we have Andujar who everyone has been raving about Plus Machado primed to be with us next year. The only thing we are lacking is young controllable starting pitchers that have produced in the big leagues.

Sevy, Montgomery (both produced in the big leaguee), Sheffield, Adams, Green on the doorstep. All controllable young starters.

I see what you’re getting at. But Drury isn’t even on the same stratosphere of Torres.

And even for the raving of Andujar. Torres is still by far our best prospect.

Also this is likely Gardner’s last year with us. Should be at least. There’s enough room for Torres, Didi, Andujar, Machado, Judge and Stanton in the lineup without sitting anybody.
