There is no one on the current Lakers roster outside of LeBron that is even better than Kevin Love. And that team just got swept by the Warriors in the Finals. The Warriors are not at all currently worried about this Laker team. If they trade for Kawhi then sign Cousins and he comes back early in the season THEN you have a point.

As presently constructed, this Lakers team isn't decisively better than the Cavs. That obviously changes if they get Kawhi. If they are able to get him, I do think Lonzo is going to get flipped into Kemba or someone else that can be trusted more.
