spotrac on top of things early

so they added mookie and price to the existing payroll: 232 mil. threshold is 208 mil

minus kenta, joc, verdugo: 3.125 + 8.5 + 550k = 12+ mil

so still over the tax by around 12 mil

edit: looking at the 2021 payroll, a lot of FA and arb guys. JT + treinen + keekay + wood is 40 mil off the top

yo having an actual leadoff will do wonders, wont have to see guys like joc / pollock / **** / ct3 at the top anymore

separate deal? its acceptable depending on the return. i kinda liked the pollock/joc platoon
Pollock recently said he wants to be an everyday starter
It's put up or shut up now for him. Especially with his pathetic performance against the Nats :{

Sucks to see Dugie and Joc and Maeda go but if this brings a ship home I’m with it.

Theoretically, LA still has the pieces to make another big trade if they don’t care about getting into tax zone. All the pieces rumored for Lindor remain and can be parlayed into a Kris Bryant trade. However, I’d say pitching is the big priority and I don’t see a move out there that can help their rotation improve dramatically.

Going to miss Joc and Maeda especially. Weird to be without an Asian pitcher after all these years...

Edit: Also realized the Dodgers has three Team Jordan guys now: Jansen, Price, and Betts.

Can we still get lindor? Give up lux
I remember somebody comparing Seager/Lindor stats and they looked pretty similar. For the amount being asked for Lindor, it didn’t make sense.
But Lindor will for sure be traded at the deadline
