I think Kershaw is going to opt out, and I feel like it is almost a certainty. However, I dont believe him opting out is necessarily a reflection of his lack of desire to stay in LA. He probably wants to secure a longer term deal than the 2 left on his contract. I dont think opting out is a sign he is going elsewhere. He will probably resign with LA for another 4 or so years, with a lower annual salary than he is slated to get the next 2. I suppose there is a chance he goes elsewhere, but I believe he will stay put.
